Petroleum residues

Petroleum sites are important waste generators. Certain management methods used in the past have generally led to the formation of lagoons filled with hydrocarbon wastes, which have in their turn contaminated the soil and sometimes the underground water table.

INERTEC offers technical and economic solutions to industrial companies that are responsible for this type of waste: Our engineers have developed a special in situ treatment method for mud pits.

The treatment procedure is based on a stabilization/solidification reaction allowing the hydrocarbon pollution to be immobilized in a solid, chemically stable matrix.
The originality arises from the fact that the reactants used are injected and mixed into the soil.
Consequently the operation requires neither excavation of the soil in place, nor replacing treated soil, not use of an external treatment route.
